Infants
Infant Program (6 weeks to 12 months)
Our educators are trained to work with young children and understand developmentally appropriate practices for children 6 week to 12 months old. The educators are CPR and First Aid Certified as well as trained on how to prevent SIDS and how to recognize the signs of Shaken Baby Syndrome.
Big Hearts Little Hands’ nursery is a very soothing, nurturing, and safe environment. Every infant is assigned to a primary educator whom he/she can build a positive relationship with. This ensures that the educator will be able to respond to your baby’s individual needs. The educator will follow a feeding schedule that is provided by you. They will also be allowed to sleep according to their needs in a soothing environment with soft music.
Curriculum
This is the time your baby will reach different milestones such as turning over, crawling, sitting up, standing, and maybe even taking their first step! How exciting!
Our daily curriculum for our infants is tailored towards their individual developmental milestones and Tennessee Early Learning Developmental Standards. The educator will build your babies language skill by using baby sign language and verbally talking to him/her throughout the day in routines and center time. Some of their daily activities consist of singing songs, reading books, finger play, sensory activities, cuddle time, and working on motor skills.
Parent involvement and communication
We believe parent involvement is very important to every child’s development, therefore we keep communication open. The educator will provide a daily report through our Parent engagement app of your baby’s activities including pictures of your baby and any milestones that they have reached. We will also be available to answer any question or concerns that you may have through this app as well.
